Providing caring and friendly pediatric dentistry servises

A smiling Dr Tikson and a friendly hygeniest talk with a teenage boy dental patient about his dental care.

Dr. Tikson, Dr. Eichenlaub, and our team members understand that children require special attention—all the tools and technology in a dentist's office can be intimidating! That's why our first priority is to make children feel comfortable. We want them to remember their visit as a positive experience so that they can develop healthy dental habits early. Years of experience with young patients means that our office knows all the effective ways to put children at ease in the dental chair. We have a variety of movies to entertain children and the young at heart.

Proper dental care is especially important for children. We recommend a child's first dentist visit be about six months after their first tooth, but no later than their first birthday. This helps to establish a good dental care routine and identify any preliminary issues. Any issues that occur in the formative years can have negative effects that last throughout adulthood. Dr. Tikson, Dr. Eichenlaub, and our team are experts in pediatric dentistry and are able to accurately diagnose and treat the special problems commonly seen in children.

Even if your child isn't quite ready for an appointment, we still recommend bringing them along to one of your visits to familiarize them with our office and establish a good rapport with our team. That bit of exposure can go a long way in making the first checkup a smooth and positive experience.
